Don't let Blooper stop your progress in World 1-4. Follow this guide to clear the way and keep moving.
"Swim into them from above to bump them away, or hit them with fireballs if you have Fire Mario (note: fireballs do not work underwater in the original game — bump attacks only). Avoid them by staying at the top or bottom edges of the screen."
Bloopers track your vertical position — move up or down in bursts to break their homing pattern.
Staying near the ceiling keeps you above most Blooper paths.
Don't panic-swim in circles — Bloopers will follow you. Pick a direction and commit.
In World 7-2 they appear in swarms — hug the ceiling and move steadily forward.
Level Context
Bowser's first castle — a fiery, maze-like fortress with lava pits, moving firebars, and a boss fight at the end. The fake Bowser here is actually a Goomba in disguise. Duck under the axe to drop him into the lava.
