Don't let Lakitu stop your progress in World 8-3. Follow this guide to clear the way and keep moving.
"Hit with a fireball to defeat Lakitu instantly — the highest priority move when he appears. You can also jump on him if he flies low enough, which is rare. His cloud disappears shortly after he is defeated."
Lakitu is always the top priority — eliminate him before worrying about anything else.
After killing Lakitu, his cloud briefly remains and acts as a floating platform.
Lakitu respawns if you scroll him off-screen — don't celebrate too early.
In underground stages, his vertical movement is restricted, making him slightly easier to hit.
Spinies already on the ground remain after Lakitu is defeated — clear them with shells or fireballs.
Level Context
The final overworld before Bowser's castle. Hammer Bros appear in greater numbers than ever, Bullet Bills overlap with ground enemies, and the terrain is intentionally broken to funnel you into danger.
